My name is Craig, and I'm an industrial designer living in Chicago. I work for gravitytank, a product, service and experience innovation consulting firm. I also explore the independent designer/maker world under the name Craighton Berman.

My personal interests include independent music, good design, vibrant urbanism, fixed-gear bicycling, contemporary art, people watching, street photography, dynamic information, innovative thought, conscious consumption, sociological theory, quality food, dry wit, urban infrastructure,  rural landscape, new experiences, progressive thought, massive change, subtle differences, human achievement, and black coffee.

I'm idealistic. I don't own a car by choice. I prefer supporting small & local businesses. I believe variety and diversity is not just the spice of life, but is what makes life worth living. I think it's imperative to take an interest in what I buy, how it's made, and where it goes when it's done being used. I believe food is more than just sustenance, and have a passionate interest in it. I love experiencing new things, learning about the world, bringing ideas to life, and dreaming about what could be.

If anything you see on this site interests you in any way, feel free to email me at the above link with any comments, ideas for collaboration, and/or lucrative proposals.
