Deceptive Design at the Chicago Cultural Center

I haven't mentioned here previously, but this past year I helped organize and launch a conceptual design exhibition entitled "Deceptive Design", running at the Chicago Cultural Center in downtown Chicago. The show features a juried selection of furniture design prototypes that deceive the viewer through mechanical, visual or conceptual trickery. Deceptive Design opened in October 2008, and will close January 3rd, 2009, so if you're in Chicago this holiday season, please stop by and take a look.

In addition to helping organize and launch Deceptive Design, I also created a piece for the show, entitled Coil Lamp. More information about Coil Lamp is available at my design site, where it will also be availible for purchase in early 2009.
