My Professional Goals (Late winter 2005 version)
My Professional Design Goals: (As of Late winter 2005)
- (Co)Found my own creative firm. Subject not important. Foster a top notch creative culture within the company. Develop progressive and innovative work. Become notable within the industry. Have fun working. Size should stay manageable and limber. Ultimate goal is to have the luxury to only work with clients we 100% believe in.
- Create a line of 'boutique' products. Design, develop, manufacture, market. Serve a niche I believe in, outside of traditional, conservative, and mainstream market demands. Create awesome product. Develop 'street cred' within market. Extend product line. Would only enter the mass market if the product would sell with out having to be 'dumbed down'.
- High tech experience development/strategy. Focus on bringing a tangible product experience to the virtual world. Not necessarily developing tangible products, but using user-centered design to develop technologies along side the technical development team. Perfect opportunity to bridge interests in virtual products (ie- internet, digital interfaces, wireless connectivity) with physical product design. Work to develop the zone between the physical + digital. High level design/business strategy working directly with technology director to make the complex seem simple.
