Notes from the desk of... [2004 Oct 12]

notes from the desk of...

  • Google's new mobile phone SMS service is the best thing since, well, Google!

  • Interesting eye/ear candy over at Pixel Ranger - click on 'Genesis Project'.

  • That talented Pixel Ranger fellow works for these guys. Warning: Intense use of flash. I usually don't go for 'maximalism' in design, but when it's this well done... damn.

  • Music:
  • Album that's on repeat from 9-5*: DFA - Dance to the Underground . It's a continuous (mostly) instrumental mix of all your favorites. Yeah, dancepunk is *so* 2003. This mix is still the ish.

  • Single on repeat: Diplo - Summer's Gonna Hurt You

  • Single on repeat: Cyann & Ben - Beyond Reality

  • New(?) from the Vessel folks: "A wearable glimpse of time". Very nice! Imagine wearing one of these on your shirt cuff, where your watch might have once resided. So simple and obvious, yet so perfect.

  • Seeing a "You Are Beautiful" sticker in a previously unforeseen spot makes me smile:

* '9-5' of course representing the work day, and not a literal representation of my work hours. I definitely can't remember the last time I got off work at 5 o'clock.
