So I went to Pilsen...So I decided to go to Pilsen. I stepped out of my "comfort-zone" and into a neighborhood quite foreign from my own. There was Spanish everywhere. And street vendors. I ate an elote. It was damn tasty. I wanted to find art galleries. I wandered. I got lost. I saw a nondescript door that said "Thrill Jockey". I stepped in and asked for directions. They acted like it was no big deal, but I could tell they didn't like me walking into their office. I saw multiple "Gringos Out of Pilsen" signs plastered to walls. That did not make me feel welcome. I finally found the "arts district" and wandered around. A lot of the buildings were really nice rehabs. But they all seemed to be owned by the same people. Which apparently is not popular among the artists. I ate a coconut ice and took the bus home. My camera ate most of the pictures.
